Day 01
Delhi - Kalka (By Shatabdi Train) - Shimla (By Toy Train)
Early morning transfer to New Delhi railway station to board Shatabdi Train to Kalka, train depart at 0740 hrs / arrival Kalka at 1145 hrs. On reach Kalka, you will board the Kalka Shimla Himalayan Queen which is one of the narrow gauge toy trains that run from Kalka to Shimla. The distance between Kalka to Shimla is 96 km and travel time is more than 5 hours as the trains travel at low speed due to hill terrain. The departure time of Himalayan Queen toy train from Kalka is 1210 hrs and it runs on all days of the week. The expected arrival time in Shimla is 1720 hrs The travel time from Kalka to Shimla is 5 hrs 10 min. The average speed the train covers in an hour is 18 km. The toy trains from Kalka to Shimla pass through 102 tunnels, which give thrilling experience to the passengers. The journey in these trains through the valleys and pine trees around is a wonderful experience for the visitors of Himachal. Upon arrival you will be transfer from the Shimla railway station to your hotel in Shimla. Rest of the day free to relax.

Shimla
Shimla is the capital of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, in the Himalayan foothills. Once the summer capital of British India, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Kalka-Shimla Railway, completed in1903. It’s also known for the handicraft shops that line The Mall, a pedestrian avenue, as well as the Lakkar Bazaar, a market specializing in wooden toys and crafts. During your sightseeing you will visit Sankat Mochan Temple and Jakhu Temple, Evening free to stroll in the famous shopping place of Shimla town -The Mall & The Ridge.

Shimla - Kalka - Delhi (By Train)
After breakfast you will be transfer to Kalka station to board Shatabdi train to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi Railway station, you will be transferred to your hotel in Delhi.
